Brilliant little app
There are probably many of us that remember that *one* word processor/text editor without which we just couldn’t get on with writing. Ever faithful to our tool, we installed it on every new computer over the years, dreading the day when it would stop working, or when getting it to work right was too much of a hassle.
On my old Commodore 64 (and through subsequent iterations) it was GeoWrite (as part of GEOS.) On my Amiga 500 it was ProWrite. On my old PowerMac 6100/60 (which proved a great and reiable friend for eight years - as long as I had my Commodore, actually), it was ClarisWorks.
And now, on my early 2008 MacBook Pro (which still works beautifully), I have the pleasure Byword’s good company.
Well done, developers! Please keep this wonderful little app alive!
