# Watch Out for This Application
This application is addictive. Once mastered you will never ever want to write in anything else. I recommend avoiding it b/c your life will go to hell as you realize all the places that dont natively interpret Markdown in your life and you experience rage at their myopic view of the world.
On a bit more serious note, I use Byword to write:
* Most blog posts (over 60,000 words this year) then transfer into the blog software.
* Essays for my employer (over 50,000 words this year), then paste them in to my email
* Notes when building slide decks that become the decks over time (~1000 slides)
I estimate I write 40% faster with Byword.
If I have to write it, I do it in Byword, then transfer it to the _other editor_. If you understand the special symbols in this review, I suspect you are already nodding your head yes.
Thanks for a great application.
