Most deficient and overpriced of the “minimalist” editors
Flaws:
- no file for notes directories (IA Writer does this)
- no search across files (IA Writer does this)
- markdown preview does not correctly interpret relative links—all links must be absolute (incorrect implementation of markdown)
- can only open files from file menu (artefact of item number 1, above)
- no quick way to access preview: must access via menu command or pressing 3 keys simultaneously)
- no split view (edit | preview) or ability to edit preview (either would be satisfactory) so preview is modal—you must go in and out of preview; this is much worse than any of the other minimal editors.
I don’t understand why this is liked at all. IA Writer, MacDown, LightPaper, nvAlt, Quiver and possibly others are all better.
Sorry to be hard core here, but this one is expensive and missing obvious and very basic features as listed.
