Excellent text app

I originally downloaded this for my husband, who wanted something very easy to use to write notes for his book on an iPad. After seeing how well it worked, I got it for myself. I usually use Evernote for all my notetaking, but Evernote adds too much formatting code if you want to publish your text. I starting using Byword to write drafts for blog posts—super easy to use and export for publishing on my WordPress blog.

As others have said, this app gets everything out of the way so you can completely focus on the writing.

The Dropbox support is seamless. I often start drafts on my iPhone and finish them on the Mac.
